Location
Mussoorie lies in the foothills of Himalayas, at a drive of one and
half hour from Dehradun in Uttranchal.
About the city
The popular hill station of India, Mussoorie perches in the middle
Ganga and Yamuna rivers, in the heart of Garhwal hills of Himalayas.
The Queen of the hills, offers pure air, majestic mountains and
velvety green grasslands. From this hight roost, you have a view of
Magnificent Doon Valley. The twinkly lights of Doon Valley looks
breath taking from Mussoorie.
The Mall here, is the main attraction. The road that leads to Mall
is filled with shops selling antiques and handicraft items. You can
ride along the Mall Road on a horse's back and enjoy boating in the
blue lake. There is various small stoppages along the road, where
you can sit, relax, talk and capture some memorable moments with
friends and beloved.
If you are able to move up through the rope way, you can spend time
at Gun Hill, spotting some of the majestic mountain ranges of
Himalayas. Taste Chinese food from the markets of Mussoorie which
are in abundance here. Drive up steep mountains and reach Kempty
Falls.

Air: Indian Airlines offers flights to Jolly Grant Airport,
which is 24km from Dehradun. Taxis and Uttranchal State Road
Transport Corporation buses are available outside the airport to
reach here.
Road: Mussoorie is very well connected to all the major
cities of India. You can hire private as well as public
transportation buses to reach here.
Rail: Dehradun is the nearest railhead from Mussories. Cabs
and buses can be hired from here to reach here, after a journey of
34km.
