Delhi was conferred the status of as an independent
state in the year 1992. Delhi, the national capital is the hub of
tourism in north India. The metropolis has shown great developmental
progress in the recent years. Delhi is an important states in India as
most of the administrative offices are located here. Delhi often forms
the base for landing in India. Before moving into the region it is
recommended to know the facts which are:
- After Mumbai and Kolkata, Delhi is the most populous city in
India. One can get a rough idea of the scene from the crowded buses
and long queues.
- The state is provided with almost everything that a tourist is
looking for. It has monuments, parks and gardens, markets, hotels,
clubs, pubs and bars, discotheques, food and festivals, state
administrative offices and foreign offices.
- The commutation is provided by buses, taxis, auto rickshaws and
Delhi Metro Subway. The privately owned buses and those run by Delhi
Transport Corporation are often over crowded and pickpockets flock
in these buses. The state also has a domestic and an international
airport. There is also an extensive railway network in the state.
- Delhi has an extreme climate with temperature touching the 45 C
mark in summers. It is recommended to visit the state between
October and March
